The Last Time…The Next Time

When was the last time you felt the embrace
Of some grateful sinner who now knew God’s grace
Because you had shown them the way to be saved
And find peace and pardon they so long had craved?

When was the last time you wept tears of joy
Because you had rescued from Satan’s employ
A soul that the Savior had purchased in love
Who now has a claim on the homeplace above?

When was the last time you brought to the throne
Some soul that the Savior now names as His own
And offered rejoicing with grateful applause
Your gift to the Savior to further His cause?

When is the next time you plan to rejoice
With saints and with angels, with heart, soul, and voice
Because through the message you lovingly told
A sinner was rescued and brought to the fold?
